ANNUAL ARMY ALLIANCE BREAKFAST WILL BE HELD NOVEMBER 15, 2018

Northeastern Maryland Technical Council (NMTC) Tech-Start 2.0 is a boot camp for entrepreneurs that will be held at Baltimore County Library's Towson BranchWorkshop 2 – Is Your Idea Good Enough, on October 2, 2018. 6:30 – 7:30PM will share valuable tips on what an inventor/entrepreneur needs to know and do to determine if their concept is worth pursuing.  Topics will include identifying markets, customer discovery, and creating a value proposition.   CLICK HERE to register.

Northeastern Maryland Technical Council (NMTC) STEM Summit XVI, NEW COLLAR JOBS...HOW TO FILL THEM - WHY INDUSTRY IS DEMANDING NEW TYPES OF WORKERS will be held October  17, 2018, 12:30-4:00PM, Cecil County School of Technology, Elkton MD.  Changing technology, workplaces demand new, non-traditional jobs. They become what IBM has identified as "New Collar Jobs". These ‘New Collar” jobs benefit from creative internships and apprenticeships, in tandem with classroom studies.  STEM Summit XVI explores the best solutions to prepare students/graduates for these ‘new collar jobs’.  $20 NMTC members, $30 public. SCRA and AFCEA Aberdeen invite you to a scary good time at the 8th Annual SCRA / AFCEA Aberdeen Halloween Golf Tournament on October 26, 2018, at Ruggles Golf Course, APG, MD. This event includes a 4-person scramble, 50/50 raffle, mulligan cards, BBQ dinner, and an awards reception.  Shotgun start is at 10:00 a.m.  Please bring three golf clubs (choose wisely – we will provide “custom” putters on each hole) and a clever costume – points will be given for a “team theme”.  All proceeds will support the SCRA Awards Program, Scholarships, and various military/veteran organizations (like Fisher House).  For more information or to register for this event, click here.
