Join AFCEA Aberdeen for their next monthly luncheon on Wednesday, April 11, 11:30am-1:30pm at Top of the Bay at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Our featured speaker for this event is Mr. Gary Blohm, Director, Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate, Communications-Electronics Research, Development, and Engineering Center (CERDEC), US Army RDECOM.  Mr. Blohm leads the organization responsible for providing signals intelligence, electronic warfare, measurement and signature intelligence, information operations, intelligence dissemination/fusion, and quick reaction capabilities through research and development of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems in Acquisition Support to the U.S. Army. $30 for AFCEA members, $35 for non-members, $15 for Government representatives. COMMERCIALIZING NEW TECHNOLOGIES.  April 12, 2018, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, The Ground Floor, 2021G Pulaski Highway, Havre de Grace.  The DefTech Center will host a meeting featuring representatives of technology transfer offices (TTOs) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, the Office of Community and Economic Development, and the DefTech Center. World War I Commemorative Event, presented by the Liriodendron Foundation, Inc. will be held Saturday April 14 at 11AM at Dr. Kelly’s summer home, The Liriodendron Mansion in Bel Air.  Please join us to honor those who served in the Great War, with a special tribute to Dr. Howard Kelly’s contribution to the recovery and rehabilitation of soldiers suffering from the wounds of war in 1918.  Click HERE for more information.

Annual APG Workers Memorial Commemoration Friday, April 27, 2018, 2-3 pm Festival Park, Aberdeen, MD - Open to the Public In honor of Workers Memorial Day, the annual commemoration will be held in Aberdeen’s Festival Park on 27 April 2018. The memorial, erected and dedicated in 2017, honors the Department of Defense Civilians, Military Service Members, and Support Contractors who lost their lives in the performance of their duties at Aberdeen Proving Ground and Edgewood Arsenal. A Dedication Ceremony and unveiling of the newest Gold Star Families Memorial Monument (GSFMM) will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Concord Point Lighthouse & Park , 700 Concord Street, Havre de Grace , MD 21078.  WWII Medal of Honor recipient Hershel Woody Williams will be on deck and looks forward to meeting the citizens of Harford County.  This event is FREE, and the public is invited to attend both the ceremony and the reception to follow.  Families welcomed.  Please RSVP here, so that the event planners will have a headcount.
