UPDATE!  Deadline has been extended to December 1st!  Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,200 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad.  Did you know that there are cemeteries at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG)?  The APG Community Spouses Club is leading the effort to ensure every veteran grave at APG has a wreath (first goal) and then they are working to ensure every grave will have a wreath (their reach goal, to honor all family members – 400 wreaths).  Deadline for wreath purchase is December 1, 2017.  Purchase a wreath for Northern/Aberdeen area at this LINK.   Purchase a wreath for Edgewood area at this LINK.  You can also volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony on December 16, 2017, by clicking on those links.  If you prefer mailing in a donation, CLICK HERE for the hardcopy donation form.

The Gingerbread Ball will be held December 2nd, 2017 at the Ocean Place Resort, Long Branch NJ, in support of the Fisher House Foundation.  This event is similar to the APG Fisher House Gala and draws attendees from the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) and the VA Technology Acquisition Center communities.  If you moved from New Jersey due to BRAC 2005, you may be interested in attending this event to network and socialize with former colleagues and friends.  Click here for more information.

A Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM) on Electronic Protection Measures (EPM) Upgrades for the SINCGARS Waveform is tentatively scheduled for December 5, 2017 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.  Discussion will include an overview of the threats to the waveform (Classified), SINCGARS enhancements that would improve EW survivability and vendor feedback on other Waveform/TRANSEC techniques to overmatch near/mid/far term threats.  Interested parties need to follow the instructions at this FED BIZ OPS announcement to participate.
